Master of Science in Industrial Engineering

-This is about seeing relations in the greater picture

Tasks can be solved in many ways. With a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering, you will be in a position where you can solve problems in the most optimal manner.
The study is especially suited for those who wish to seek management positions in technology, in the future.

Logistics, control of supply chains, leadership quality and quality improvement, data integrated production, virtual production, industrial robotic technology and production methods are just some of the topics about which you will acquire expertise.

Narvik University College has one of the country’s most modern virtual production centres. At the centre, you can utilise software that makes it possible to visualise, animate and simulate everything from production processes, flow of products in a supply chain, to three-dimensional DAK-models.

At the end of the course, there are several good job opportunities. Examples include the oil-, fishing-, mining-, mechanical- and electrical industries, as well as typical logistics businesses.

The academic community that provides the basis for the course of study in Industrial technology has a broad national and international contact network, and as a Masters student in Industrial technology you will be offered the opportunity to do your final Masters thesis in collaboration with Norwegian or foreign businesses, research institutions or universities. Our former students have already made tracks in the USA, Germany, France, Japan, Australia and China.

The course qualifies you for further research qualification and Narvik University College can offer qualification by research (Dr. Eng.) in collaboration with, amongst others, Trondheim University NTNU.
