Need to know

These pages contains most information you would need to know regarding formalities and preparation for your stay in Norway. However, we would encourage all our students to check especially requirements for visa and residence permits valid for their countries, including which additional documents you must bring to Norway.

Please note especially that citizens of EU/EEA countries must bring with them valid insurance (normally European Health Card or form E111, issued by home authorities). Please also bear in mind that getting a residence permit (and part-time work permit) and Norwegian ID-number normally might take a few weeks after you arrive. See more under "Residence permit"
